A child’s language and literacy development is a significant aspect that impacts us all. Why do we begin with something as concise as a 100-word story? As Aesop once said: “Good things come in Little Story packages.” Perhaps his actual quote was related to small packages, but we believe that Aesop would appreciate the impact of our Little Stories. He recognized the strength of a very brief narrative, and so do we.
Why 100 words? It simplifies a story and makes it more manageable. A child reaches “the end” promptly, feeling a sense of achievement. Yet, the essence goes beyond that. By keeping stories brief, we noticed how structures become prominent and speech practice becomes focused. Something "little" indeed feels incredibly significant!
